Community Production: Dreamworks' Shrek the Musical
Production Dates: June 27 - 29, 2025
Ages: 10+ must audition.
Description: The production process will be 7 weeks long starting the week of May 12 - June 29, 2025. Conflicts must be communicated upfront as it can impact the casting process.
Youth Production: Disney's Descendants
Production Dates: July 18 & 19, 2025
Ages: 8 - 15 years of age must audition.
Description: The production process will be 2 weeks long, starting July 7 - 19, 2025. Rehearsal will resemble a camp like structure, with longer rehearsal periods, mid-day to early evening.
Ages: 5 - 7 years of age will not need to audition. A separate opportunity will be announced for youth ages 5 - 7 to shine in the spotlight as part of the ensemble for the show Descendants, learning music and choreography to be featured in a few numbers.
Audition Description: All participants must sign up for an audition time slot, which can be reserved individually or as a group. Each time slot will be scheduled every 15 minutes, with a maximum of 4 participants per slot. Within the 15-minute window, you can choose to audition individually or as part of a group. The last 30 minutes of each audition day will be reserved for those with last-minute scheduling conflicts or for anyone who wasn't able to register for a time-slot.
Audition Guidelines:
Please prepare 16 - 32 bar cut of a song. You can either sing along with our piano accompanist or perform it a capella. The cut should be around 45 seconds or less.
Song selection is up to the individual or group auditioning. Choose from musical theatre, pop, rock or jazz genres, even songs featured in this year’s musicals. Whatever you pick, just give it your best! If you plan to audition for the ensemble only of either production, you can simply audition with a nursery rhyme or Happy Birthday.
If you plan to audition for ensemble (ONLY) any song, to include a nursery rhyme or Happy Birthday are acceptable choices.
Headshots and Resumes, if you have them, please plan to bring a headshot and/or theatrical resume to the audition. *If you do not provide a headshot, we will take a photo of you to assist with casting.
