Youth Flag Football 2026
Maize Rec Fall Flag Football League – Non-Stop Football Action, Skill-Building, and Teamwork!
Get ready for a season of flag football where kids can develop skills, stay active, and have fun in a non-contact, recreational environment—without the hassle of travel or high-level competition! The Maize Rec Fall Flag Football League is designed to help players grow their game in a supportive and engaging setting.
Where? All practices and games will be held at the Maize or Maize South High School. (Confirmed closer to the season)
When? Teams practice once a week (Monday–Friday) at either 6:00 PM or 7:00 PM, with games every Saturday morning. Practice schedules will be determined by volunteer coaches at the coaches' meeting.
Who Can Play?
Boys and girls enrolled in Kindergarten through 6th grade for the 2026/2027 school year are welcome!
Cost & Registration
$55 per player | $125 per family (Out of District: $65 per player | $135 per family)

Equipment:
Each player must wear a mouthguard. Cleats are encouraged but not required.

Volunteer Coaches: (New for 2026)
For up to two volunteer coaches per team, Maize Rec will provide registration fee refunds in the form of an account credit (to the value of an in-district registration). Each coach will receive a full refund of their child’s registration fee. Account credits may be applied toward future Maize Rec sports or programs.
Refunds will be issued at the end of the season, provided that both coaches remain in good standing with our program by:
- Passing a background check
- Upholding the coaches code of conduct (no unsportsmanlike conduct)
- Maintaining consistent attendance at practices and games
All volunteers will be vetted by the Sports Director, and the most qualified/experienced candidates will be selected. Marking “Yes” to volunteering on the registration form does not guarantee selection.
