Youth Baseball & Softball Program - 2025 Season


Step up to the plate with the Maize Rec youth baseball & softball program!

Get ready for a season filled with excitement, skill-building, and teamwork! Our youth baseball and softball programs are designed to help every player shine, whether they're a rookie or a seasoned slugger.

Program Highlights:

Game Days: Baseball games are scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Softball games are on Tuesdays and Thursdays. All games are held at the USD 266 fields.

Practice Schedule: Teams will practice once or twice a week, with sessions starting at 6:00 PM and the latest beginning at 7:00 PM. Practice times are chosen by volunteer coaches. Practice locations will vary.

8-Game Season: Each team will play 8 games in a recreational league focused on skill-building and enjoyment of the game.

Important for Parents: Each player will need their own glove and helmet. MRC has a limited number of helmets available for those who need assistance. For a home run deal on our family cap discount (3 or more players), give us a call at (316) 729-7818!

Registration Opens: January 1st
Registration Deadline: March 31st
Practice Begins: Week of April 21st
Games Begin: May 19th
Coaches Meeting dates: April 12th (kid pitch & t-ball), April 14th (coach pitch)


Divisions: All grades as of 2025-2026 school year.

Fee ID: $55 per player, Family Cap ID: $130

Coach Pitch (separate 2nd-3rd grade boys & girls teams):

Fee ID: $60 per player, Family Cap ID: $130

Fee OOD: $70 per player, Family Cap OOD: $140


Kid Pitch Softball (4th-6th Grade Girls):

Fee ID: $65 per player, Family Cap ID: $130
Fee OOD: $75 per player, Family Cap OOD: $140


Kid Pitch Baseball (4th-5th & 6th-7th Grade Boys):

Fee ID: $65 per player, Family Cap ID: $130
Fee OOD: $75 per player, Family Cap OOD: $140


All registrations include a team shirt, hat, picture, and medal.
